Hemi's career in dog trials has just started, so far she shows tons of promise. Hemi is an excellent marker, she is full of drive, speed, and style. She wants to work/train as much as she can whether she is training for a hunt test, obedience training, or practicing agility. Everyone LOVES to watch Hemi run! People always say, "That dog is REALLY fast!". Hemi has 4 AKC Senior passes, her AKC Rally Novice title (1 AKC Advanced Rally Pass) , her Canine Good Citizen Certificate and is training for agility (she's entered in her first trial the end of October, 2012). While training for Agility, Hunt Tests, and Rally competition Hemi also waterfowl and up-land hunts. This year (2012) will be Hemi's third season in the duck blind and she progresses each time she goes out.
Hemi is also a joy to have in the house. She finds just as much joy in running around the house with a squeaky toy as she does running in the field! She also loves to relax and cuddle on the coach.

Red Roses for a Blue Lady, “Rosie”
Rosie is a dog I bought for my mom so that she would have a nice, calm, intelligent, Chocolate Labrador and Rosie is just that. Rosie is beauty and brains. Although my mom has not competed with Rosie, she does everything my mom asks of her and is a GREAT dog. Rosie lives with my mom in Coos Bay, Oregon and gets to spend a lot of time on the beach.
Rosie not only is a great companion she is also very pretty, with a broad but feminine head and dark chocolate coloring. Rosie's sire is Ch. Sooner or Later XIII and her dam is Latte's Miss Leah CD. Rosie has whelped two litters of exceptional puppies and will have one more litter this summer and then be spayed.

Gussi has even modeled for Ducks Unlimited and will soon be in a Eukanuba add. Gussi has whelped and been a great mother to two litters of puppies (18) before being spayed. Her puppies love to work and almost all of them hunt and/or compete in trials on a regular basis.
Now Gussi is in retirement and loving it! She spends her weekdays helping people new to Hunt Tests learn to run a dog and her weekends hunting ducks and geese. Occasionally, she helps out with the 4-H group and obedience classes I teach. Currently, Gussi is training to compete in Team Obedience at the 2012 Rose City Classic. Although Gussi is retired she has a lot of life to live and will live on in her puppies and grand puppies.

My Little Brown dog, "Hemi"
The last 30 days have been hard for Hemi and I. I went from entering Hemi in Summer Hunt Tests and getting her ready for her first Agility trial. To sleeping on the floor with her as she quivered in pain. To her feeling better and exercising. To once again taking her to the veterinarian but this time a specialist.
